Also part of my senior design exhibition Design Your Destination at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, this piece belongs to the Driven to Detail poster series. It features the 1993 Porsche 911 Turbo S in a pristine white finish, highlighting the model’s rare performance pedigree and distinctive styling.
Each detail, from the aggressive aerodynamics to the subtle play of light across its surfaces, was rendered through precise digital illustration. The refined graphic composition honors the craftsmanship and innovation behind the Turbo S, presenting it as both a pinnacle of Porsche engineering and a lasting icon of automotive design.
Porsche 911 Turbo S
The illustration starts as a reference photo, broken down into basic shapes. Each shape is drawn individually in Adobe Illustrator, building the structure layer by layer. Shadows, highlights, and textures are added through hundreds, sometimes thousands of precise vector pieces. As the layers grow, the image transforms from flat outlines into a detailed, realistic composition.
